Role Purpose
As a Senior Engineer, you will bring your expertise in pipeline and civil engineering to support high-level technical investigations, design, audits, and advisory services. Your contributions will play a vital role in developing water and wastewater infrastructure that meets industry-leading technical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Safety Leadership - Champion safety by adhering to WHS responsibilities and leading the Safety in Design (SiD) process.
✅ Pipeline Engineering Design - Lead investigations, design, and technical audits while developing best practices and technical guidelines.
✅ Civil Engineering Design - Conduct investigations and design for siteworks, stormwater management, and roadworks, supporting hydrology and hydraulic engineering.
✅ Stakeholder Engagement - Deliver accurate and cost-effective engineering solutions while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
✅ Knowledge Development - Contribute to technical forums, ongoing learning, and the development of engineering standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
✔ Tertiary qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering (specializing in Pipeline Engineering)
✔ Strong knowledge of pipeline engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
✔ Experience in complex pipeline and civil project design and auditing
✔ Technical expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, and roadworks
Desirable:
➕ Postgraduate qualifications in engineering
➕ Affiliation with Engineers Australia
➕ Experience with design software (Caesar, Microstran, etc.)
Additional Information:
- Some flexibility in working hours, including occasional after-hours and interstate travel
- Compliance with medical clearances and background checks may be required
