Job description
As a Solutions Architect, you will be instrumental in translating business requirements into innovative technical solutions that align with the business' digital strategy. This role bridges the gap between business and technology, ensuring the seamless delivery of IT/OT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, understand, and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Design technical architectures, creating detailed plans, blueprints, and system integration diagrams.
- Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and tools that align with the business' digital strategy.
- Develop cost models to support the business' studies stream, especially in mine network planning.
- Build prototypes or proof-of-concepts to validate solutions and identify potential challenges early.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive implementation of solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to architecture, security, performance, or scalability.
- Prepare detailed documentation and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in technology, business, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in delivering solutions within the mining industry is essential.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience designing solutions across security, networking, infrastructure, and data flows.
- Expertise in Cisco industrial networks, security best practices (ISO27001, NIST), and technology integration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with risk mitigation, compliance, and ensuring interoperability with existing systems.
