YOUR NEW ROLE
The Strategic Talent Advisor reports directly to the Talent Strategy and Workforce Management Manager, and works with senior executives and managers to facilitate and execute relevant talent engagement and recruitment processes. You will support the Organisational Transformation Division in matters relating to talent engagement and management within the Division, including participating in planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives. The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise within the area of recruitment, workforce management and strategic planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Talent Strategy and Workforce Management Manager in strategic workforce planning and talent engagement.
- Develop and maintain relevant databases, spreadsheets and activity tracking documentation and collate information for reporting responsibilities.
- Work closely with Recruitment and Procurement colleagues to ensure streamlined and efficient management of ICT talent engagement activities.
- Develop and manage key internal and external relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to identify issues and opportunities, and achieve outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of process flows and process improvement initiatives to support the Modernisation Program.
- Provide guidance and day-to-day direction to Talent team members.
- Develop job descriptions and provide support for Division recruitment activities.
- Provide proactive, efficient, accurate and confidential executive support.
- Contribute to decision-making using good judgement, expertise, and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
- Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.

- Commonwealth Resource Management Framework and Procurement Framework; and
- Agency's related frameworks, instructions, policies and procedures.
