Technical Delivery Manager

  • Long term contract until April 2027
  • NV1 Security clearance mandatory
  • Multiple locations: Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne
  • Fully onsite role

About the role

Technical Delivery Manager to deliver a number of platform services, particularly key activities aligned with the critical Reform Program delivery including: Uplift to our cybersecurity capabilities; Delivery of our enhanced M365 capabilities; Alignment with key cloud activities including AWS landing zone operationalisation and associated initiatives; and Experience delivering enterprise service management capabilities.

Skills and experience

  • In-depth knowledge of and demonstrable experience across the following technologies and associated capabilities: M365, multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure, cybersecurity and enterprise service management capabilities.
  • Experience in achieving results in the delivery of complex, multi-stream technologies on-time and within budget;
  • Extensive experience in leading and managing the setting up of the project through to the delivery of the new capabilities and realisation of benefits;
  • A good working knowledge of and experience with the effective management of issues, risks, conflicts, priorities, budget, communications and personnel in a complex, fast-paced IT environment;
  • In-depth experience in building and sustaining effective teams, focused on delivery;
  • Strong vendor management skills;
  • The ability to conduct proactive interventions and decision-making to ensure the project stays on track;
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies;

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the setting up of the project through to the delivery of the new capabilities and realisation of benefits
  • Ensuring all deliverables documentation produced by the team is approved and well maintained e.g. design document, operational manual, accessibility assessment, IT security plan, backups and disaster recovery etc.
  • Managing delivery performance, encouraging team members to learn from mistakes and being accountable for work;
  • Organising planning on system delivery, showcase and rollout in accordance with agile methodology;
  • Communicating and negotiating effectively with Teams in the Reform program, ITS teams and different levels of stakeholders to achieve outcomes;

Eligibility requirements

Due to the nature of the role Australian citizenship with NV1 Security clearance is mandatory.
