We're looking for a Technology Controls Test Analyst to help a leading financial institution validate and improve its information security controls. You'll be at the frontline of cybersecurity, testing and assessing security measures, identifying weaknesses, and ensuring compliance with key industry regulations.
If you enjoy breaking things (for a good reason), working with stakeholders across IT, Risk, and Compliance, and ensuring businesses stay resilient against cyber threats-this is the role for you.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Designing & executing security control tests to ensure IT security measures are effective and compliant.
✅ Reviewing and challenging evidence to verify that security controls are working as intended.
✅ Collaborating with IT, Risk, and Compliance teams to strengthen cybersecurity practices.
✅ Assessing security risks and identifying gaps, ensuring all findings are documented and reported.
✅ Providing recommendations to improve security controls across the business.
✅ Working within regulatory frameworks (CPS 234, APRA, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, etc.) to ensure compliance.
What You Bring to the Table
🔹 Experience in security control testing, risk assessment, or IT audit.
🔹 Strong understanding of CPS 234 and other security compliance frameworks.
🔹 Ability to assess and challenge security control evidence with a critical eye.
🔹 Familiarity with manual and automated security testing tools.
🔹 Strong communication skills-you'll be working with stakeholders across multiple teams.
🔹 Ability to write clear reports, track security gaps, and follow up on remediation efforts.
🔹 A problem-solving mindset-you love digging into details and asking the tough questions.
