- Candidates must be Melbourne or Canberra based - Hybrid (3 days work from office)
- 12 months Contract with likely extensions
- Must have NV1 Security Clearance.
Work as a VMware Engineer with a Global Consulting firm on one of their established Government sector projects.
Responsibilities and Skills Required include:
- Administer and support Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of services and applications.
- Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Monitor and optimize Azure resources to maintain cost efficiency.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access controls are in place.
- Administer and support VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including deployment and management of virtual machines and storage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) for system provisioning and management.
