Business Analyst - OSS/BSS (Telecommunications)

Location: Macquarie Park
Start Date: May 5, 2025
End Date: August 31, 2025 (with potential for a 12-month extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)

About the Role:

Business Analyst with a strong background in Telecommunications, specifically in OSS (Operations Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems). In this role, you will be instrumental in gathering and analysing business requirements, optimising processes, and supporting system transformations to enhance telecom operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with various teams to understand and document business needs for systems that support network operations (OSS) and customer services (BSS).

  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and suggest enhancements to optimise operations.

  • System Implementation: Work alongside architects and developers to design and implement system upgrades or new solutions.

  • Testing Support: Assist in user acceptance testing to ensure new systems or changes meet business requirements.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Telecom OSS/BSS.

  • Strong understanding of Order Management, Billing, CRM, Service Assurance, Provisioning, and Network Management.

  • Experience with telecom standards and frameworks such as eTOM, ITIL, and TM Forum.

  • Knowledge of telecom technologies including 5G, VoIP, Fiber, Mobile, and Fixed Networks.

  • Familiarity with API integrations, microservices, and cloud-based OSS/BSS solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, BPMN, and process modeling tools.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
