Job description

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing credit applications from both new and existing customers, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting the business's growth and security. This is a shift-based role covering national retail trading hours, offering flexibility in your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Risk Assessment: Assess credit applications for both new and existing customers to determine creditworthiness and associated risks.
  • Data Analysis: Review customer data, credit reports, and account histories to ensure accurate evaluations of risk.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Privacy Laws, the Credit Act, and the Trade Practices Act.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Billing, Collections, and Customer Success to make informed decisions on credit applications.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into customer documentation, using both internal and external sources to validate the legitimacy of customer risk.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports to management on credit approvals, declines, and any suggested improvements to credit policies.
  • Fraud Risk Prevention: Identify and refer any suspicious or potentially fraudulent applications to the Fraud Risk Operations team.

Shift Schedule:

  • The same shift schedule for two weeks, followed by rotation.
  • Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
  • Thursday only: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
  • Weekends: 3 weekends in a row, with flexibility in scheduling.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment processes and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in handling customer data and financial analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
  • Attention to detail, especially when investigating documentation or financial reports.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
