About the role
An IAM Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing systems that control access to critical information and resources within an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to transforming and enhancing the Identity as a Service (IDaaS) platform on AWS, focusing on Level 3 support and governance.
- Design, configure, and implement IAM solutions using Ping identity products within an AWS environment.
- Offer technical guidance to project teams and Level 3 support teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and propose suitable solutions.
- Evaluate business requirements to recommend optimal solutions on the Ping platform.
- Update and maintain project handover and operational documentation.
- Coordinate with CTO teams, including Channels and Security Architecture, to ensure alignment with design standards and strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering growth and expertise.
Essential Criteria
- Over 5 years of relevant experience at an Enterprise level.
- Extensive background in systems development, support, and maintenance, with specialized expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Strong experience with IAM platforms such as Ping.
- Solid understanding and application of security design principles for IAM solutions.
- Hands-on experience with protocols like SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and LDAP.
- Preferably skilled in development, particularly in Java.
- Experience in a DevOps/Cloud environment, with a preference for AWS.
- Strong logical troubleshooting skills.
- Proven track record of collaboration and support within teams.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and consultative abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Applied knowledge of enterprise architecture and contemporary IT strategies.
- Familiarity with financial services operating environments, applications, and products is advantageous.
