Job description
As an IBM Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting various work packages associated with IBB Maintain Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Work Package A: DataPower Gateway Upgrade
- Upgrade IBM DataPower Gateway IDG appliances across all environments (DOSD, DeBI, and SDeBI) to the latest supported devices.
- Migrate from physical to virtual appliances, ensuring operational readiness and cybersecurity compliance.
Work Package B: Message Queue and Integration Upgrade
- Replace existing Message Queue servers with the latest version of IBM Websphere MQ on RHEL VMs.
- Upgrade IBM Integration Bus to IBM App Connect Enterprise and manage data migration across servers.
Work Package C: Security Suite Upgrade
- Upgrade IBM Security Directory Suite and IBM Security Access Manager to the latest versions while migrating all data and functionalities.
General Responsibilities Across Work Packages:
- Provision virtual machines and install/configure IBM virtual appliances.
- Update firewall rules and manage connectivity testing and cutover activities.
- Perform comprehensive testing, validation, and risk management during migrations.
We need the following resources with IBM skill sets:
- IBM DataPower
- WebSphere MQ
- IBM Security Directory Suite (ISDS)
- IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) uplift
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with IBM DataPower, WebSphere MQ, ISDS, and ISAM.
- Strong understanding of RHEL operating environments.
- Experience with virtualisation and network configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Please note that a minimum NV1 security clearance is required.
