Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable microservices using a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach, deploying these services on platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes for efficient container management.
  • Creating automation workflows that streamline deployments across various systems and integrating these workflows with tools such as ServiceNow to ensure smooth operations.
  • Developing clear and interactive API documentation, enabling seamless communication and integration between different services.
  • Building consistent and scalable infrastructure solutions by implementing infrastructure as code principles with Terraform
  • Establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines by leveraging tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, and Artifactory
  • Implementing comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using the ELK stack to support effective troubleshooting and system reliability.

Skills and experience required:

  • A proven ability to design and build distributed systems and microservices that are robust, efficient, and scalable, particularly in the networking domain.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with containerisation technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift to enable streamlined deployments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python or Go for developing high-quality automation solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform and the principles of infrastructure and configuration as code for efficient and scalable system architecture.
  • Solid experience in database management, including designing and executing effective queries and working with MongoDB.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software testing methodologies and the ability to maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with network security and performance tools such as Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers is an added advantage.
