- Candidates must be Melbourne or Canberra based - 3 days work from office
- 12 months Contract with likely extensions
- Must have NV1 Security Clearance.
Work as a Network Engineer with a Global Consulting firm on one of their established Government sector projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, configure, and deploy network solutions in alignment with organizational requirements.
- Implement and manage VMware NSX to provide network virtualization and security.
- Utilize VMware HCX to facilitate application migration and workload rebalancing across hybrid clouds.
- Deploy and manage Azure VMware Solution for seamless integration with Azure cloud services.
- Configure and administer Fortinet Firewalls to ensure robust network security.
- Manage Azure Firewalls to protect cloud resources and maintain compliance with security policies.
- Design and configure routing and switching protocols to ensure optimal network performance.
- Deploy and manage F5 Load Balancers to distribute traffic across multiple servers and ensure reliability.
Skills and Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on hands-on implementation and management.
- Strong expertise in VMware NSX, VMware HCX, and Azure VMware Solution.
- Proven experience with Fortinet Firewalls and Azure Firewalls.
- In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
- Experience with F5 Load Balancers and Cloud Native Load Balancers.
