Senior Pega System Developers

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid possible
  • Contract Length: 8 months with two 12-month extensions
  • Work with Large federal government department
  • Location: Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne
  • Start date: Nov 2024

About the Role

As a Senior Pega System Developer, you will collaborate with Principal and Lead Pega System Developers to build, install, upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support Pega application components to meet business requirements under the guidance of Principal and Lead Pega System Developers.
  • Document and review design approaches with the team, and conduct regular unit testing on built applications.
  • Support internal and external Pega Quality reviews.
  • Remediate defects and issues, and implement design recommendations for application components.
  • Mentor and upskill staff in using the EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform, ensuring sound user experience design principles are prioritized.
  • Provide direction, set work priorities, and manage junior resources as a Senior Pega System Developer.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of Pega Best Practice standards, components, and governance structures.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Pega Senior System Architect certification or higher, with 2+ years of experience as a Pega Senior Developer/System Architect on Pega Platform and/or Cloud Pega Platforms.
  • Proven experience in delivering Pega enterprise capabilities and solutions used in a production context.
  • Deep knowledge of Pega capabilities, technology components, and integration with other technologies.
  • Ability to drive development best practices and monitor adherence, understand current and future requirements, design class structures, ruleset designs, and case types for enterprise reusability, and tune Pega applications for optimal performance.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills in technical contexts, with the ability to lead a team of Pega developers to ensure efficient and quality delivery.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Commonwealth Government governance structures.

Eligibility: Due to the nature of the role, Australian citizenship with Baseline clearance is required.
