About the Role

As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's technology landscape. Your expertise will guide the design, development, and delivery of sustainable and scalable solutions that align with business goals and strategic priorities. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that enhance services for the community while embracing modern technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive Experience in Solution Architecture: Minimum of 8+ years working as a Solution Architect, preferably in data-intensive or environmental projects, with a proven ability to design and implement IT systems aligned with enterprise-wide strategies.
  2. Scalable and Modular System Design Expertise: Strong capability in designing scalable, modular architectures that address data ingestion, storage, taxonomy management, and APIs, accommodating future growth and enhancements.
  3. Documentation and Communication Skills: Ability to produce comprehensive technical specifications, solution architecture documents, risk assessments, and visual artefacts to effectively communicate designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  4. AWS Cloud Architecture Expertise: Strong familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure, particularly for managing large volumes of unstructured data, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  5. Integration and Interoperability Planning: Proven ability to plan and execute integrations with existing systems and ensure interoperability with external systems using APIs and adherence to national data standards.
  6. Data Governance and Lifecycle Management: Experience in implementing effective data lifecycle management strategies, ensuring adherence to data governance policies, and enabling reliable data curation and accessibility throughout system development.
  7. Technology and Cloud Strategy Leadership: Expertise in recommending technology stacks, tools, and frameworks, including SaaS product capabilities, and optimising cloud-based infrastructure for cost efficiency and high performance.
  8. Educational and Industry Certifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, software engineering, or a related field, with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or TOGAF highly regarded.
