Job description

Our client is a Queensland Government department and they are currently seeking a Test Manager to join them on a contract through to the end of the financial year with a 12 month extension on the table as well. This role is based in Brisbane CBD + flexible WFH on offer as well.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing and implementing the project Test Strategy in an agile project team, aligning with departmental requirements
  • Defining the scope of functional and non-functional testing within the context of each release
  • Develop Test Plans for activities, dependencies and resources required to mitigate the risks to system quality, seeking relevant support for plans
  • Modifying test plans and activities when new or changed requirements arise in the agile development environment
  • Contributing to sprint planning and estimation
  • Preparing, deploying and managing resources for testing (system, integration, performance, security, etc)
  • Design appropriate test measurements and metrics for the product
  • Planning and managing the readiness of test environments
  • Undertaking testing activities as required including executing test cases and recording results
  • Managing the tools for test management, test automation, defect tracking and reporting
  • Leading preparation of Test Cases, then managing resources to execute test cases or executing them as required
  • Perform system, integration, load and performance test execution;
  • Track and report on testing activities including test case coverage, required resources, results, defects and their analysis, performance baselines etc
  • Leading and engaging stakeholders (internal and external) to meet testing outputs for solution readiness and deployment.
  • Contribute to effective, client focused teamwork by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of team members and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes with a commitment to quality deliverables and customer service.
