Our client is after a Business Analyst with a focus in data analysis to join their Data Management team, which is at the forefront of driving data-driven decision making across the organisation
About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Data Management strategy. You'll work closely with business partners to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and develop effective data solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Eliciting and documenting business requirements for data discovery and classification capabilities.
- Collaborating with IT, Cybersecurity, Solution Architects, and business partners to determine optimal solutions.
- Facilitating workshops and creating business cases.
- Analysing data protection and data discovery maturity levels.
- Developing process models, business rules, operating models, workflows, and reporting.
- Communicating business requirements to delivery and development teams.
- Supporting the product owner in defining and prioritising the backlog.
- Conducting business impact assessments.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience with data discovery and data discovery related tools (e.g. Google DLP or similar tools).
- Experience assessing the group maturity for data protection and data discovery capabilities
- A track record of successfully implementing data governance initiatives across large organisations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for data and best practice processes
