Job description

A highly respected tertiary institution is looking for a Business Analyst. You will be ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, gathering and analysing requirements, and translating them into actionable specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, Develop user stories and functional specifications and create business process maps and diagrams.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that align with business needs.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities, including UAT.
  • Contribute to project planning, execution, track project progress and manage risks.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance.

To be successful, much of the following must be highlighted in your CV:

  • 3-5 years of experience in application support and analysis of systems.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and requirements gathering techniques.
  • Experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM) and SQL databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid experience with reporting, monitoring and modelling tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a higher education environment is beneficial
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and SaaS applications is beneficial
  • Certification in ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
