About the Organisation:
Our client is a local government entity based out of the Perth CBD with easy access to their office via public transport. They possess over 700 employees and are dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities.
About the Role:
As a Corporate Governance Officer, you will provide effective support for corporate governance related activities, and ensuring that processes comply with government legislation and policies. This role will also include interpreting legislation for the purpose of creating and delivering relevant training documentation for employees.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret legislation, preferably in a local government or public sector context.
- Demonstrated experience in previous roles related to the administration of corporate compliance activities (e.g. register maintenance for employee related disclosures
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs to enhance employees understanding of legislative obligations in a local government environment.
- Previous experience managing incoming requests and enquiries from internal and external stakeholders relating to corporate governance matters.
