Our client is a key regulatory body responsible for upholding quality, safety, and consumer independence in a nationally significant sector. With the sector experiencing significant growth and evolution since its inception, the organisation faces critical challenges that require transformative solutions. To address these, the Australian Federal Government has allocated substantial funding for a comprehensive IT upgrade aimed at enhancing system functionality, responsiveness, and risk management capabilities.
This multi-year transformation program will be delivered by a large, multidisciplinary team and demands specialised ICT and professional service expertise to ensure success.
What we're looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with a proven track record in developing and deploying production-level models, building and maintaining data pipelines, and delivering advanced analytical solutions. Proficiency in Python and/or R, coupled with expertise in data transformation, machine learning libraries, and statistical analysis, is essential. Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders, are key to thriving in this agile environment.

- 18 month contract + extension option
