Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Ansible Automation Platform Management to join our client on a 12-month contract.

This critical role requires a strong background in DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will collaborate closely with developers and engineers to establish and enforce DevOps best practices across the development team. Your expertise in Ansible Automation, along with infrastructure automation in VMware and Azure environments, will be essential in designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions for enterprise stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce DevOps best practices across the development team.
  • Collaborate with developers and engineers to design and implement automation solutions.
  • Manage and automate infrastructure, with a focus on Ansible Automation Platform, VMware, and Azure environments.
  • Drive the design, development, and maintenance of a highly secure Windows server SOE solution using Ansible, JFrog, and Packer.
  • Ensure effective CI/CD practices and tools are in place.
  • Automate OS patching and implement security policies on both public and private cloud platforms.
  • Engage with enterprise stakeholders to design and support automation solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation.
  • Strong expertise in Ansible Automation Platform Management.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure virtualization and cloud technologies, including VMware and Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and platforms such as GitHub/Azure DevOps, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible, and Packer.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, Multicast, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with VMware Tanzu/VCF.
  • Experience with Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of Dell & NetApp hardware.
