Job description

We are seeking an experienced Document Writer / Business Analyst for a 3-month contract to collaborate with various stakeholders, including site contacts - vendors, training teams, reliability engineers, supervisors, and project delivery teams. The ideal candidate will validate and update tasks within current work instructions, as well as create new work instructions and procedures.

Document Writer Responsibilities:

  • Update maintenance training documentation for end users.
  • Perform document writing and formatting to ensure compliance with Documentum and governance standards.
  • Create detailed maintenance work instructions to document different installation types and maintenance activities.
  • Validate and update existing documents based on site feedback.
  • Work on review comments and assist with the sign-off process.
  • Conduct peer reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Business Analysis Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Vendors, Training, Reliability, Supervisors, Project Delivery) to gather and analyse requirements for documentation updates and improvements.
  • Map business processes related to maintenance activities and procedures to ensure documentation aligns with operational workflows.
  • Identify gaps in existing work instructions and propose solutions to address them.
  • Provide feedback to project teams on how documentation impacts process improvements and maintenance efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and refining process flowcharts and diagrams for clarity in work instructions.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in document writing and creating work instructions.
  • Proven ability to interface with multiple stakeholders to gather information and validate documents.
  • Experience with maintenance activities and procedures.
  • Proficiency in business analysis, including process mapping and requirements gathering.
  • Understanding of IT concepts (networking, communications) is preferred.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
