Job description
Our client, a large retail giant, is seeking a FinOps Engineer to join their team and focus on delivery of cloud cost optimization. You'll focus on controlling, optimizing, and managing cloud expenditures. This organisation has significant cloud infrastructure investments (Google Cloud) and would be incredible to work on.
Essential Experience:
- Experience with GCP cost management tools (e.g., Google Cloud's Cost Management tools, BigQuery
- Familiarity with cloud financial management frameworks and methodologies.
- Knowledge of financial compliance and regulatory requirements related to cloud services.
- Data Engineering Skills on GCP
- Implementation experience on FINOPS Practices in GCP
- Proven experience in financial management, cloud financial operations
- In-depth knowledge of cost management strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in GCP or a related field
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with GCP cost management tools.
