Job description

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Executive Director, your role as the Enterprise Architect will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment to whole of government enterprise processes and standards. This role will be responsible for working with the Managers in ICTS to develop and lead the maintenance and implementation of ICT Architecture within the department to support and influence ICT enabled business change and related ICT planning and investment decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Establish and enforce architectural principles and standards, driving governance across the ICT department.
  • Create and manage the ICT technology road map, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement. Evaluate emerging technologies and champion their adoption to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the development of solution architecture that aligns with enterprise principles. Identify and manage risks associated with architecture, ensuring secure and compliant solutions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to communicate the value of enterprise architecture. Lead the development of technical architecture activities across the agency, fostering continuous improvement.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies, including familiarity with SFIA competencies.
  • Ability to align architectural strategies with organisational goals and long-term objectives.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing innovative technology solutions.
  • Experience in establishing governance frameworks and managing architectural risks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively engage with and influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing and implementing change initiatives with minimal disruption to operations.
