Job description

Our client is a large organisation in the mining sector, and they are looking for a Master Scheduler to join them on a contract through to October 2025 + extension on offer. This role is based in Brisbane CBD + flexible working from home on offer.

This role is required to provide key support by maintaining and developing detailed programme schedules to evaluate, plan and support individual projects, and supervising critical paths of the core programme pipeline.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • 7+ years' experience
  • Understand and own the Portfolio and Program Master schedule and maintain it in all required systems.
  • Identify schedule conflict, assist with prioritization and assist to maximize the capability of the Delivery Teams across the Hub.
  • Coach and train Program and projects manager to optimize their scheduling and planning effort.
  • Responsible for consistency of project planning, setup and tracking across projects and for ramping up and down project controller roles.
  • Oversee portfolio/Program/project plans, schedules, and estimates for all allocated projects.
  • Support data quality and project performance (cost, schedule, quality) within allocated projects.
  • Responsible for tracking project portfolio schedule, commitment, team capacity and demand
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and a path of escalation
  • In consultation with the Delivery Managers, work with Senior Suppliers on the Project Board to address key schedule, delivery and quality issues and risks
  • Contribute to Project Delivery process improvement within discipline
  • Maintenance of project planning and tracking toolset to streamline processes and ensure efficiency.
