Oracle ADF Developer

  • Contract duration 8 months with two 6 months extension options

About the company

Work with a federal government department as a Senior Application developer in a multi-disciplinary team. They are looking to incorporate the functionality from legacy applications into exsiting external facing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, manage and support high performance Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) and MOD_PLSQL applications on Linux platforms.
  • Participate in and contribute to Scrum ceremonies, events and artefacts to help the department continue to build a great development culture and agile program.
  • Contribute to the full Software Lifecycle from requirements elicitation to post-production support. This means each team member has a tight, on-going relationship with product owners, network and database administrators, testers and analysts to maximise delivery of high-quality, high-satisfaction products.
  • Build effective working relationships with product owners across the business and technical domains to provide information, collaborate and promote the benefits of department's online services.
  • Sustainable development through domain driven design, test driven development, pairing, maintainable code, code reviews, adhering to team conventions and strategies. Improving our automated testing suite, keeping security, accessibility and open standards in mind, and refining our technical implementation.
  • Assist in knowledge transfer to the BAU team as required. Knowledge transfer mechanisms may include, but not limited to SOPs, WIs, manuals, technical specifications as appropriate for the work involved.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Security Clearance: Current Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Police Check: Completed within the past 3 months or willingness to undergo a Police Check.
