This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation program by managing three pivotal projects. As a Project Analyst, you'll work closely with Project and Program Managers, providing the financial and operational insights needed to ensure success. Your expertise in budgeting, risk analysis, and scheduling will be instrumental in driving project performance and delivering value.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of forecasts, actuals, and variances. Provide actionable financial insights to support decision-making.
- Risk and Issue Management: Analyse project risks and issues, helping to develop robust mitigation plans and improve residual risk profiles.
- Schedule Management: Maintain and monitor project schedules, identifying dependencies and ensuring milestones are met.
- Procurement Support: Oversee purchase orders for labour and non-labour resources, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and mitigating procurement risks.
- Insightful Reporting: Deliver clear and concise reports on project performance, including financials, risks, and dependencies, enabling better decision-making.
- Challenging the Status Quo: Partner with Project Managers to identify opportunities for improvement, confidently challenge assumptions, and recommend practical solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Support workshops, meetings, and project boards, ensuring high-quality record-keeping and governance.
About You:
- Proven project/program analysis experience in a PMO or delivery environment.
- Brisbane-based.
- Financial services experience (banking, super, insurance).
- Strong budgeting/financial skills with insight-driven outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; confident to challenge/influence.
- Skilled in risk, schedule, and dependency management.
- Knowledge of Agile, PMBoK, or PRINCE2 frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Project, SharePoint, and Atlassian tools.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable.
