**Minimum NV2 security Clearance of Baseline is required**
The Senior Network Security Technician will be responsible for various tasks, which include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the design, development, and implementation of Cyber solutions in line with best practices and security frameworks.
- Managing design and configuration activities related to firewalls, including automation and integration with network designs utilising BGP and OSPF.
- Overseeing the design and implementation of Network Access Control (NAC) systems.
- Integrating firewall and network security tools with monitoring platforms, including SIEM.
- Proactively maintaining and upgrading cybersecurity tools.
- Leading the design, development, and implementation of cybersecurity toolsets that adhere to best practices and governance/security principles.
- Collaborating with vendor and supplier specialists to optimize solutions and designs for desired outcomes.
- Supporting Validation and Verification (V&V) processes.
Required skills and experience :
Experience working in Defence as a Senior Network Security Technican.
Proven experience with security products in the following Cyber domains:
- Network security, including firewalls and NAC
- Security monitoring
- Network automation
- Logging and auditing
Extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining technical solutions using Fortinet, Ansible, and Cisco technologies.
Strong expertise in Nutanix, VMware, and hypervisor platforms.
