Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join their team. This is a contract until June 2025. This is a remote role. This role is open for multiple locations such as Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

The purpose of the role is to improve Digital capability through the development and support of new applications and functionality, to improve user experience and business process efficiencies. These applications include the HWC enterprise resource planning system and other more bespoke systems to improve specific business function capability and efficiencies.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Improve business processes and efficiencies through capitalising on your knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate)
- Write shell/batch scripts to automate, maintain and/or monitor enterprise applications
- Manage third party support providers/vendors
- Adhere to ITIL standards, specifically around problem and change management
- Actively participate in the Digital Change Management meetings and associated practices
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for all enterprise application support procedures
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Execute on a range of business delivery requirements as specified in Hunter Water's Digital Strategy
- Proactive monitoring of enterprise applications and relevant databases
- Ensure that systems are operating effectively to meet the availability expectations of the business
- Resolution of all Level 2 and 3 application incidents and requests
- Monitor disaster recovery and high availability platform for all enterprise applications
- Participate in regular backup and disaster recovery validation activities
- Work with the other Digital Teams to ensure all systems are maintained appropriately
- Maintain up to date patches and security fixes for enterprise applications and supporting infrastructure
- Work with the Cyber Security Team to remediate any systems security vulnerabilities that are identified
- Implement and manage security policies for enterprise applications
- Work with stakeholders to identify business and technical requirements for the project
- Ensure solutions/technology comply with security standards and fit within the existing enterprise architecture
- Facilitate application migrations and upgrades
- Provide technical support to relevant project teams
To be considered for this role:
- Experience with GIS ( Geographic Information Systems)
- Experience with Enterprise ERP/CRM (especially Ellipse and/or Velocity)
- Knowledge of the Microsoft stack, including the Power Platform, Teams, SharePoint, Project Online/Server, Microsoft 365 and familiarity with the various management tools
- Established experience utilising the Microsoft Power Platform suite of products including demonstrated capability to build Power Apps, Power Automate Flow, or customise a Power BI report
- Experience with Active Directory/Windows Server Administration
- Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting knowledge
- Knowledge of Administration with Linux operating systems
