Job description
We are seeking a skilled Senior UNIX Infrastructure Specialist (EL1) to lead the design, deployment, and management of Unix-based systems in a mission-critical environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems.
- Strong expertise in managing IBM AIX operating systems.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with networking, compute, storage, and security teams to oversee the deployment and management of infrastructure components.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Red Hat Ansible, and experience with Red Hat Pacemaker, Red Hat Satellite, and Identity Manager.
- Experience in virtualization technologies on the IBM Power platform.
- Familiarity with virtualization environments including VMware, Openstack, and Oracle SPARC.
- Possession of relevant certifications, such as Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Oracle Solaris Administration Certification, is highly desirable.
Security Clearance:
- Candidates must possess or be eligible for Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance, issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
