Job description

Position summary

The Test Analyst - Investments will support the Test Manager with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control delivery of investment initiatives. This role will be responsible for the creation and execution of test scenarios and cases in line with the defined Investment data management Quality Assurance framework.

As part of the role, the Test Analyst will also be expected to work closely with SMEs from various business areas in the delivery of small to medium sized projects, supporting business teams to deliver a quality assured release.

Technical knowledge

  • Understanding of Agile behaviours, tools and techniques: e.g. collaboration, work breakdown, automated testing, Kanban etc (mandatory)
  • Sound knowledge of how information and technology contributes' to business performance (mandatory)
  • Sound knowledge of investments and the information technology and technology industry trends and issues impacting Investment teams (mandatory)
  • Sound knowledge of data validation approaches and importance of good quality data (mandatory)

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years appropriate industry experience, with at least 2 years in an Investment/Financial Services Test Analyst role
  • Experience working on/delivering Data Migration strategies and projects
  • Experience of working on different test phase (ST, SIT, UAT)
  • Proven delivery track record
  • Experience of working closely with Business Analysts and Development teams
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and strategy. (Ideally exposure to Selenium, Postman and/or other QA tools)
  • Experience in using Jira and Confluence
  • Understanding of and experience in Software Development Life Cycles, including Waterfall and Agile approaches
