Job description

Our client is a large government organisation who are currently on the hunt for a Business Analyst to join them on a long term contract, based in Brisbane CBD. There is flexible WFH on offer (2 days a week on average). The contract is initially for 12 months however there will be extensions on offer.

The Role:

We currently have multiple opportunities Business Analysts for Platform and non-Platform related work. Multiple projects may be assigned to the Business Analyst depending on the effort required to complete the deliverables. The role will be working closely with business subject matter experts, project manager, solution architects/Designers and Testers to complete multiple deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult, coordinate and deliver substantial business analysis and solution conceptualisation in a large, diverse and complex organisation.
  • Superior written communication skills and demonstrated extensive experience in preparing high-quality business analysis artefacts such as business requirements, functional requirements, process maps and models, business rules, business cases, options papers, test scenarios, etc. for both business and technical audiences.
  • Expert analytical and problem solving skills, together with the ability to apply that knowledge and experience to the areas of process analysis, data analysis, cost benefits analysis and business systems analysis, in order to identify both opportunities for improved services and creative solutions to support business outcomes.
  • Experience in the evaluation and assessment of tender and contract documentation, including evaluation of vendor responses.
  • Demonstrated high level ability to establish and grow collaborative relationships (building trust and providing reliability), with staff from varying technical disciplines, and with customers, suppliers, project managers and stakeholders.
