Job description

THE ROLE

You have the opportunity to join a position of trust, where you will contribute to better outcomes for Queenslanders, particularly those in rural and regional areas, by giving effect to the policies and priorities collectively agreed between the Department and local communities.

As a Principal Change Lead, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring the implementation of best practices in change management, communications and learning across projects being delivered. You will have a strong ability to strategically interpret project needs and impacts, providing guidance on implementation approach and deliverables. You will also be accountable for program change support, in particular program communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co-develop and maintain the program's Change Centre of Excellence by creating a program change strategy, developing change, communications and learning templates, and highlighting best practice standards and governances for change, communications and learning.
  • Deliver program-level change support, supporting communications planning and delivery of the awareness campaign for program status and project successes.
  • Oversee change resources across projects being delivered under the program to ensure best practice quality controls are understood and implemented.
  • Review major change deliverables on projects, providing advice and/ or approval for quality control and standardisation.
  • Prepare or contribute to the preparation of timely and well-researched presentations, communication materials, briefs and submissions on complex issues, including Cabinet submissions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years' experience delivering change projects, including communications and learning plans and material, is an essential requirement for the role.
  • Possession of qualifications in project management (e.g., Prince2), change management (e.g., PROSCI), communications and learning are desirable.
  • Familiarity with government processes, policies, and regulations is desirable.
  • Experience training, managing and leading a team will be highly regarded.
