About the role
Our client is looking for a SAP Functional Consultant focuses on designing solutions for Logistics Systems, primarily within SAP but also involving some non-SAP platforms. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and practical experience to establish, standardize, and enhance architecture designs, standards, and processes across SAP Logistics modules.
Project Responsibilities:
- Review and refine business requirements for projects and change requests to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Oversee project governance and ensure adherence to delivery standards, budgets, and timelines.
- Incorporate new initiatives and solutions into the global design framework.
Core Requirements:
- Extensive experience with SAP MM and SD modules, as well as SAP S/4HANA.
- Secondary expertise in SAP Ariba, IBP, PM, and EAM modules.
- Proficient in SAP integration with other IT systems via API, SFTP, and EDI technologies.
- Familiarity with non-SAP applications, including custom-built service and purchase order systems, as well as web storefronts (eCommerce and ePortal).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven background in delivering SAP SCM solutions, with at least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect specializing in SAP Supply Chain processes, preferably within consulting environments.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing end-to-end architectural solutions.
- Skilled at critically evaluating user requirements to ensure due diligence and feasibility.
- Comprehensive knowledge of system portfolios to accurately assess project impacts, including effort and cost estimation.
- Expertise in SAP Logistics domains, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and architectural standards.
- Hands-on experience configuring SAP ECC 6.0, particularly in SD and MM modules.
- Functional integration experience with additional SAP modules like Plant Maintenance, Customer Service, Ariba, and APO.
- Demonstrated ability in budget management, cost estimation, and benefits realization.
- Proficient in workshop planning, facilitation, and documentation.
- Ability to create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository, including system requirements, solution designs, and operational documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including incident analysis, root cause identification, and resolution.
- Leverage consulting expertise and industry knowledge to understand business needs and recommend best-practice solutions.
- Telecom industry experience is nice to have.
