Job description

Our client is a global leader within the mining sector seeking a Senior Test Engineer with experience in testing complex applications to join their growing team.

The role will be based out of their Perth CBD office, offering a hybrid work arrangement. A 6-month renewable contract or a full-time position can be considered for the right candidate.


Responsibilities:

  • Development of automated testing procedures using CI/CD tools
  • Create comprehensive testing policies, plans, and standardised reporting for both software and hardware testing across the product development lifecycle
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of test plans, meeting product specifications and quality standards
  • Provide expertise to the product team on best practices for testing, advising on effective testing approaches and methodologies
  • Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and UI/UX teams to drive the adoption of best practices
  • Monitor key test metrics and deliver regular progress updates to business stakeholders
  • Establish and refine testing frameworks and workflows for software verification and validation
  • Prepare and communicate detailed test summary reports, detailed findings, recommendations, exclusions, known bugs, and any outstanding requirements


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing both manual and automated test scripts, using tools such as Selenium or Cypress, to reduce manual intervention
  • In-depth knowledge of automated software testing and hands-on experience with CI/CD environments
  • Familiarity with GitHub and experience working within CI/CD pipelines
  • Relevant qualifications and professional experience in software development are highly preferred
