Melbourne based - 12 months contract with extensions likely - Must have AU Citizenship!
Work as an SRE Architect with a Global Consulting firm on one of their established Melbourne based Government sector projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the reliability and scalability of the organization's IT infrastructure and services.
- Working closely with development, operations, and product teams to ensure that services are reliable, scalable, and efficient.
- Lead efforts to automate and optimize processes, implement monitoring and alerting systems, and develop strategies for incident response and disaster recovery.
- Work with the client to establish Entry / Exit Criteria and align on the basis for identification, selection, and development of use cases for service improvements through automation.
- Work with DevOps team to review templates, patterns, and framework to be developed for the applications in scope.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or similar.
- Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for various systems and applications.
- Must be an Australian Citizen, and Baseline security clearance is desirable.
